2025 Dallas Antiquarian Book Fair Report
The Dallas book fair was a great success, especially for the first year of a fair in a new location. I had the best fair I have ever had in a Texas fair – I have not done any of the big out of state fairs – but my sales were about double what I have done at any previous Texas fair.
My sales were about 25% to Institutions, 50% to other dealers and 25% to the public, including my previous clients. In addition, I met a new (to me) collector of Texana who made a nice purchase, connected with several of my existing clients and met several new institutional representatives, one of whom followed up with a nice purchase after the fair.
Most of the dealers I spoke to seemed to be happy with the fair as well. I hope to see you all there next year – although the date will be changing due to a conflict with the World Cup.
